Who we are

Asian Americans are the fastest growing racial ethnic group in the US with their population growing by over 80pct in the last 20 years! Accompanying this growth are – of course – the growing reports of discrimination and violence against this community. 

The growth of Asians in the broader population is also being reflected in the makeup of the Lab student community.

Our objectives

  • Create awareness of the similar and diverse experiences of the AAPI students

  • Offer tailored events addressing AAPI student needs

  • Collaborate with the administration and faculty
  • Build alliances with other student organizations to address intersectional issues
  • Create a community where students can feel welcome, safe, and seen as individuals.
